A couple of months ago I was kindly sent a few Burberry Goodies, not for review purposes but just generally to try out their new collection. This was my first time using Burberry cosmetics, and I must say I was pretty impressed. Sometimes there is so much hype on certain products all over the internet and then you have these hidden gems that never get a shout out but they are actually so good. The packaging for Burberry Makeup feels and looks just like the boxes you get when you purchase a clothing item from Burberry. The Liquid Lip Velvets come in a frosted glass bottle, with their signature design on the lid. Strongly pigmented but bearing in mind as these are Lip Velvets, their stay power is not as long as a matte lipstick. Their smooth Lip Definer pencil enhances and contours the lips and WILL NOT BUDGE! and DANG! So Pigmented! The actual Lip Definer pencil feels a lot heavier than a standard lip liner, which I feel is definitely needed when trying to define the lips with a steady hand.
Moreover, my favorite product out of all the items I received is their highlighter pen. A pen that inspired me to write this post, it seriously is one of those ‘You need this in your life’ kind of thing. The Nude Radiance pen can be worn on its own on all the high points of your face and it will just melt in to your skin and give you this effortless glowing healthy look. What makes it so versatile is the fact that it’s a slim pen which perfectly fits in to the tear duct area, under the brow, above the brow, bridge of the nose, cupids bow, collarbone, the list is endless and it’s all down to the applicator’s perfect shape. This isn’t your heavy-duty ‘SLAY GIRL’ highlighter that shines beyond the universe, but the creamy texture is easier to blend and can be an EXTRA finishing touch once you have a full face of makeup. It’s a day-to-day highlighter pen since it is more forgiving on the skin as it blends in to your bronzer and blusher without having that heavy glittery powdery look or just looking OTT as some highlighters can be.
